Familiarization Flights

• Briefing: This is where aviation rules, basic meteorology, airspace classification, the importance of balancing an aircraft before flight, and practical information for planning each flight are discussed.
• Pre-flight inspection: Participants learn what to pay special attention to before their first flight. They will find out what the Pitot tube is for, why it’s important to check fuel levels in the tanks, what aviation fuel is, and more.
• Familiarization flight: During this flight, participants can experience how the aircraft responds to controls, how instrument indications change during flight, and how to conduct proper radio communication with air traffic services.

The minimum allowable age for participants is 16 years. For minors, the consent of a legal guardian is required. The participant’s weight cannot exceed 105 kg.

The flight always takes place with an instructor. Participants are not allowed to touch the controls without the instructor’s permission. The main cognitive elements during the flight include radio communication with air traffic services, controlling the aircraft, and maintaining steady flight parameters, as well as monitoring and operating onboard instruments.

Sessions may be canceled if weather conditions are insufficient for a safe flight. Other factors may also lead to the cancellation of sessions, and participants will be promptly informed. Reservations can be canceled no later than 24 hours before the start of the program.
